More and more CEOs and CIOs I chat with don’t believe there’s going back to “normal.” It’s going to be something different because so many things are working well digitally: Telehealth, ecommerce, delivery services, e-learning, remote work, virtual meetings, no travel, and more.

The stakes: If tech companies win their ferocious campaign for remote learning, telehealth, "smart cities" + driverless vehicles — their Screen New Deal — there simply won’t be money left over for urgent public priorities, never mind a Green New Deal.

Part of that work is ensuring sufficient testing options. In the past month, @HHSGov  has awarded over $1.4B to Community Health Centers—funding that is being used to address screening/testing needs, acquire medical supplies, and boost telehealth capacity in underserved areas.

Telehealth services—using accessible technologies like FaceTime or Skype to facilitate medical appointments—will go a long way in protecting vulnerable Americans from the Coronavirus.

REMINDER: If you’re feeling sick, use #Telehealth  services *before* going to the doctor’s office, Urgent Care, or the ER. It keeps you safer, and it keeps those around you safer. NYS has ordered co-pays to be eliminated for telehealth consultations.

HHS announced a historic expansion of telehealth access to combat COVID-19. Read more:

Following the outbreak of the coronavirus, the Trump Administration quickly signed a bill that: ✔️ Provides $7.76 billion to federal, state, and local agencies to combat the virus ✔️Authorizes $500 million in waivers for Medicaretelehealth restrictions.

My Administration pushed to include a big expansion to Veterantelehealth in the spending bill so that the brave men and women who served our Country get the care they need. #RuralProsperity
