DEVELOPING: The head baseball coach at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa was among the nine victims of a helicopter crash Sunday in Calabasas that killed basketball legend Kobe Bryant and one of his four daughters, the school confirmed Sunday afternoon.

It was not immediately known what caused the crash that claimed the life of NBA legend Kobe Bryant, the FAA says. The crash happened Sunday morning near Calabasas, California, about 30 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles.
