It will be fairly quiet night over West-Central and Southwest Michigan. We could see a storm or two up near Ludington and Hart, but chances will be better north of there. Temperatures will be mild for late September. #wmiwx #miwx
Rain builds back into the area from the southwest today, continuing into tomorrow afternoon. Thankfully, warmer temperatures and sun *finally* return to the area starting Sunday. Also, be alert for building waves and dangerous swim conditions on Lake Michigan starting today.
9/10/2020 Noon: Cloudy skies continue across Southwest Michigan. A band of showers continues to move along the US 31 corridor with light accumulations. These will continue through the first half of the afternoon.
9/9/2020 3:00 PM: Muskegon tied a record Low Maximum Temperature Yesterday. The record of 60 F was set in 1924. Yesterday's Max Temperatures in Southwest Michigan were cooler across the area with Max Temps being 10 to 15 degrees below normal.
9/9/2020 12:15 PM: Here is a Precipitation Summary map for the last 3 days of rain for Southwest Michigan. There were several significant areas of concern. The heaviest being a line of rain that extended along several county borders just south of Winn and north of Edmore.
