Life is full of disappointments, delays, people that do wrong. You’re never going to stop these things from happening; the key is how you handle them. The scripture says, “No man can take your joy.” You control your joy. Nothing can take it from you.

This morning I woke up discouraged with what is going on in our country. But one of my bible study brothers encouraged me with this scripture. “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” Gal 6:9

Carrying the Bible and posing it with was strange. Carrying it and not reading a scripture or offering a prayer made it all the stranger. And made it all the clearer that the Bible was not for reference. It was a prop.

Trump using a church, NOT to pray or to read scripture. It was an awkard, PHOTO OP, where he held a Bible up in the air and pointed at it, like it was a Trump steak. People were pepper sprayed to make space for this. He is at best a mockery during this deeply depressing time.

When we face difficulties, one of the best things we can do is find a promise in the scripture and remind God what He said.

Scripture tells us: Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, we shall reap, if we do not lose heart.

The scripture says, “What you do in secret, God will reward in the open.” Don’t worry if you’re not getting credit. Don’t get discouraged if people don’t thank you. God sees your sacrifice.

Trust Him when you don’t understand; be comfortable not knowing. The scripture says, “Lean not to your own understanding.”

Don’t get tired of doing what’s right. If you’ll keep passing the test, the scripture says your due season is coming. God is not only going to bring you out, but He’s going to make up for the time you thought you lost.

The scripture says, “Don’t despise the day of small beginnings.” You have to be faithful with the small before God will trust you with more. You have to be your best right where you are. Stay faithful; your time is coming.
