Doing business with Saudi Arabia is a 'betrayal of all sense of morality and humanity,' claims friend of slain journalist Jamal Khashoggi Dr Daud Abdullah amid the David Cameron lobbying scandal. @AndrewCastle63
Not only did President Biden fail to punish Saudi Arabia over the Khashoggi murder when given a clear opportunity to do so, he is now preparing to sell them "matériel that can be construed to have a defensive purpose."
The new US State Department report notes Saudi Arabia's arrest of activist Amani al-Zain after she called the Saudi crown prince “father of the saw,” referring to Jamal Khashoggi having been dismembered by a bone saw in the Saudi Consulate.
Lawmakers advance bill that goes further than Biden administration in punishing Saudi Arabia for Khashoggi murder
Spare a thought for Khashoggi's son, banned from leaving Saudi Arabia, who had to go and do this today
The brutal murder of Jamal Khashoggi was an assault on human rights. But for a year the Trump Admin refused to make public an unclassified report on Saudi Arabia's culpability. I have asked Director Haines to declassify this report. There must be accountability and justice.
Jamal Khashoggi is a Virginia resident, so his disappearance is personal to me. President Trump needs to raise this case immediately with Saudi Arabia and Turkey and demand answers. We should be extending support from our federal agencies for a real investigation.
