Executives from Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, Hyundai Motor, Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering and Samsung Heavy Industries took part in the rare gathering at the presidential Blue House.

Taiwan’s TSMC and South Korea’s Samsung Electronics control more than 70% of the semiconductor manufacturing market. Under President Biden, the U.S. seeks to regain leadership in manufacturing and secure supply chains. CNBC’s @ArjunKharpal  with more.
