3. US officials told us political aims in the White House played a big role in different approaches on the suspected attacks against Americans. Trump wanted to undo Obama’s opening w/ Cuba. But he wanted to strengthen ties w/ Putin and Xi, and he sought a trade deal w/ China.

DEFIANT WARNING: Alexei Navalny, the opposition leader poisoned by a nerve agent, spoke out in a new interview, explaining why he believes Russia's Vladimir Putin is behind the attack and why he says Pres. Trump should condemn it. @IanPannell  reports.

As I wrote in February, Putin‘s attacks on Biden are about “corruption“ because Trump and his grifter family have been exploiting the office of the presidency so rapaciously that the only way to inoculate them was to accuse the Bidens of the same thing.

Hey Trump, Say QAnon. Say Putin Sucks. Say Kim Jong Un is a killing Dictator of his own countries citizens.

@NewYorker  @mashagessenNavalny  calls Putin the "most powerful man on the planet " bc unlike Trump he has no checks on his behavior. But he thinks money is his real obsession

Trump Seeking Last Minute Pre-Election Nuke Deal With Putin

As far as we know, Putin and a top Saudis royal (King Salman and/or MbS) haven't talked twice in the same week since April, when Moscow and Riyadh were trying to agree on output cuts (some of those were 3-way calls, involving also Trump). #OOTT  h/t @olyatanas  @d_khrennikova

Trump administration rejects Putin’s offer on nuclear arms deal extension with Russia, @washingtonpost  rpts:

Vladimir Putin and Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman have spoken on the phone twice this week. Is MBS passing messages to/from Trump?

Trump said today, “Putin probably, possibly likes me. But...I guarantee you he'd rather see Biden." This is, of course, a 100% lie. U.S. intel is ON THE RECORD that Putin is working to elect Trump. And I’ve seen the classified info - the Russian effort is extraordinary.

According to reporting including @MeetThePress  , Trump called Putin 6 times in 2 months - March 30th, April 9th, April 10th, April 12, May 7th, June 1 ! That would be a crazy number of calls to any foreign leader. But to Putin? What on earth were they discussing? So strange.

Trump announces that he spoke to Putin today and no reporter asks what he said to Putin. No reporter asks what he said to Putin about intelligence reports that Putin is paying to kill American soldiers.

Russians are paying Islamic radicals to kill American troops in Afghanistan. Donald Trump has known about Putin targeting Americans for months and has refused to even condemn Russia diplomatically. What Republican senator will speak out against this shocking dereliction of duty?

Reporters are trained to look for patterns that are suspicious. And time and again one stands out with Donald Trump. Why is he so slavishly devoted to Putin? There is a spectrum of possible answers, ranging from craven to treasonous. One day I hope and suspect we will find out.

It took Trump less than 24 hours to condemn protestors as "thugs," but it has been over a week and he still hasn't condemned Vladimir Putin for putting a bounty on American troops. Funny how that works.

If reports are true that Russia offered a bounty on U.S. troops in Afghanistan and Trump wasn’t briefed, that’s a problem. If he was briefed and still wanted Russia back in the G-8, it’s even worse. What will it take to get Trump to abandon the fiction that Putin is our friend?

Great World Cup. Question for President Trump as he meets Putin: Do you know which team you play for?

So President Trump is complaining about "transparency" in the impeachment inquiries? Because of testimony behind closed doors? Ok, sir. Show us the tax returns, your business interests, and let us know what you talk about with Vladimir Putin. Then we can talk transparency.

I would say that I completely believe President Trump misspoke and that he has full faith and confidence in the members of our intelligence community and understands that Putin and Russia were fully responsible for intervening in our election. Sorry. I meant wouldn’t.
