President-elect Joe Biden will use the Defense Production Act to expand the production of COVID-19 vaccines and vaccination supplies as part of a wide-ranging plan to deliver on his pledge to inoculate 100 million people in his first 100 days.
President-elect Joe Biden says he will employ the Defense Production Act to "order private industry to accelerate the making of the materials needed for the [COVID-19] vaccines as well as protective gear."
