Since Ma’Khia Bryant, 16, was fatally shot by a police officer in Columbus, Ohio while holding a knife, her siblings have spoken out about her life in the foster care system, which ignored efforts by their grandmother to reunite the family.
The Columbus Police Department is on the scene of a two-vehicle accident.
On Tuesday, a Columbus Division of Police officer fatally shot 16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant. Police accountability data shows the shooting wasn’t an anomaly. Bryant is the fifth Black child killed by @ColumbusPolice since 2016.
