Pediatrician Dr. Katherine Williamson said she has seen an increase in COVID-19 cases among young patients in recent weeks, as well as an uptick in parents who are vaccinating eligible kids — both of which she attributed to the rise of the Delta variant.

Helen Etuk dreamed of becoming a pediatrician. A senior in college, she loved children and planned to dedicate herself to giving them healthy lives. She died from complications of the coronavirus on Jan. 12 at a hospital in Arlington, Texas.
