I'm glad the First Step Act passed. But there is much more needed to achieve comprehensive criminal justice reform. We must: -End cash bail -End private prisons -End mandatory minimums -Reinstate the federal parole system Our primary goal must be rehabilitation, not punishment.

Great news out of CaliforniaMarjorie Knoller, who I helped convict for 2nd degree murder in 2001 for letting her dog murder her neighbor, was denied parole. Justice served. #DianneWhipple
