"Palestinians are left to endure, alone, and mostly out of sight, the trauma, indignities and provocations that long ago became a routine aspect of day-to-day life under Israel’s suffocating military occupation." — #AJOpinion  by Andrew Mitrovica

Israel has blockaded Gaza for 14 years and bans most construction materials from entering — like cement and pipes. Airstrikes by Israel in May killed over 250 people and destroyed about 2,000 homes. Lacking many new materials, Palestinians are recycling the rubble to rebuild.

A video went viral after a journalist shared it, claiming that it depicted #Israeli  security forces in Jerusalem's Old City spraying "sewage" at the "gates to al-Aqsa to discourage and disburse #Palestinians ."

"Netanyahu proved that Israel does not need to make any meaningful concessions to the Palestinians and can abandon any semblance of making progress in a nonexistent 'diplomatic process' with them and still prosper." That leaves Israel with apartheid.

A Palestinian child should be sitting in a classroom, not in rubble. World leaders must act immediately to protect the human rights of Palestinians.

Israeli police stormed Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa Mosque hours after the Israel-Hamas ceasefire, firing rubber bullets and stun grenades at Palestinians. Witnesses say some Palestinians stayed after Friday prayers to celebrate the ceasefire. Police claim there were "riots."

"The fundamental unavoidable reality at the heart of the [Israel-Palestine] conflict is that there is an asymmetry of power here. One side is the occupier. The other side is occupied." Me, tonight, on why we shouldn't just talk of 'clashes' in Jerusalem:

I stand with the Palestinian people. My heart aches for the families who have lost loved ones. We can not stand as silent witnesses to children being orphaned and murdered and not demand for the human rights of all Palestinians! This must end. Free Palestine.

Horrifying. It was bad enough when Palestinians in Gaza weren’t able to get vaccinated, but now to reportedly lose their only coronavirus testing lab is... beyond words.

The devastation in Gaza is unconscionable. We must urge an immediate ceasefire. The killing of Palestinians and Israelis must end. We must also take a hard look at nearly $4 billion a year in military aid to Israel. It is illegal for U.S. aid to support human rights violations.

The United States must speak out strongly against the violence by government-allied Israeli extremists in East Jerusalem and the West Bank, and make clear that the evictions of Palestinian families must not go forward.

Palestinian civilians are currently suffering in great numbers in Jerusalem, Gaza, and the West Bank - here are some great organizations you can donate to in order to help those in need.
