The Red Flag Warnings for the lower elevations in the Bay Area as well as Santa Cruz Mtns have been allowed to expire. But the Red Flag Warning for the North Bay Mtns and East Bay Hills continues until 5 pm Tuesday. We've also adjusted our expected winds. Stay Safe!

Red Flag Warning for the North Bay mtns will expire at 8 pm tonight.

The Fire Weather Watch begins at 4 AM PST Wed for the North Bay Mtns, East Bay Hills, & Diablo Range. A combination of the offshore winds, low relative humidity values, & unseasonably dry fuels will likely lead to critical fire weather conditions for the higher elevations. #CAwx

Winds will start to increase in the mtns midday Wed, ramping up into the evening & overnight thru Thu AM. Note the valley gusts will be lower than the higher elevations. ?Red Flags begin at: Wed 12 pm: North Bay Wed 3 pm: East Bay Hills/Valleys Wed 7 pm: Santa Cruz Mtns. #CAwx 

1:30 pm - Present wind gusts in the North Bay Mtns are in the 15-30 mph range. Gusts will significantly increase during the period of greatest concern overnight and into early Thursday when gusts in the mtns will reach 45-55 mph, locally 65 mph. #CAwx
