'The father of the Green Revolution' - Norman Borlaug - is credited with saving millions from mass starvation. Borlaug believed in educating farmers on the ground. After working with scientists and farmers in Mexico the country became self-sufficient in wheat in about 11 years.

Have been reading “The Wizard and the Prophet.” The book compares the philosophies of William Vogt and Norman Borlaug. Vogt did the math on the growth of the human population and determined we needed to consume lessor reproduce less or the earth would run out of resources. (1/n)
