The defections continue: "Another 30 [Myanmar] junta police officers and soldiers in Chin State have joined the nationwide Civil Disobedience Movement...over the past two weeks," making "a total of 350 junta police and 21 soldiers" in Chin since the coup.
"As of Wednesday, at least 1,120 civilians had been killed" by Myanmar junta troops, says the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners. Cung Biak Hum, the first pastor to be killed in Chin State by junta soldiers, was one of the latest.

The US and British embassies in Myanmar express concern about reports of "fierce government attacks on [Mindat] town in a western Chin state where martial law was declared Thursday because of armed resistance by [lightly armed] opponents of military rule."
