Great news for Indian Country and Alaska Natives: The Native American Business Incubators Program Act, legislation to help cultivate and provide support to Native-owned small businesses and Native entrepreneurs, was recently signed into law.
Native American voting advocates say the slow-moving nature of mail on large reservations puts the people who live there at a disadvantage to getting their votes counted.
The Native American who apparently was being mocked by teens wearing MAGA hats in a viral video says he has "fear for those youth, fear for their future, fear for their souls, their spirit, what they're going to do to this country."
So now we have learned from the media that having a Native American great-great-great-great-great-grandparent makes you Native American, but that having two X chromosomes does not make you a woman.
We owe Native Americans so much. It's time for a new approach to the Native American people, not to run a pipeline through their land.
I appreciate listening to the Native American people and millions of others who believe this pipeline should not be built.
