New Zealand increases minimum wage ========== New Zealand will from April 1, 2021, raise the national minimum wage to 14.26 U.S. dollars per hour, Workplace Relations and Safety Minister, Michael Wood, said on Thursday.

National Minimum Wage from April 2021 23 and over (was 25 and over) £8.91 per hour (from £8.72) 21 to 22yr-olds £8.36 per hour (from £8.20) 18 to 20yr-olds £6.56 per hour (from £6.45) 16 to 17yr-olds £4.62 per hour (from £4.55) apprentices £4.30 per hour (from £4.15)

The minimum income floor for selfemployed people is ended - technically suspended - from 6 April (in practice from now). The MIF assumes a selfemployed person earns at least national living wage for 35 hours a week, around £300. If earns less then benefit calc’d on MIF.
