Just two weeks ago the platform where President-elect Joe Biden will take the oath of office was overrun by a violent mob. Now, the National Mall is locked down with an unprecedented level of security as 25,000 National Guard troops are on call, @NorahODonnell reports.
U.S. President-elect Joe Biden arrived in Washington on Tuesday as 12 National Guard members have been removed from duty, officials confirmed, following a vetting process ahead of Wednesday's inauguration to ensure that National Guard troops don't have ties to extremist groups.
