@paulaptlb  and tim morrison too, believe after sept 1 warsaw meeting and an additional time in september when sondland told him he’d talked to trump and he wanted zelensky to announce investigations on tv

We saw lots of Sondland, Vindman, Williams and Holmes during Dems' case. We're seeing a lot of Morrison and Volker now.

Maybe the Senate will vote to hear again from people like Gordon Sondland or Tim Morrison, who have already testified. But the real question is whether new information from new people will become part of the trial.

A point I didn't make earlier about Yermak's comments: Not only is he contradicting Sondland, but he's contradicting what MORRISON said Sondland told him **in real time.** 2 people under oath who aren't exactly NeverTrumpers vs. 1 Ukrainian.

An incredible takedown of Amb Sondland by GOP lawyers Ashley Callan and Steve Castor: Tim Morrison didn’t understand why Sondland would be meetings on Ukraine. Fiona Hill said he might be an “intelligence risk” & had issues with his phone calls. Amb Reeker said he was a problem.

Castor: morrison told us he did not know why sondland trying to show up to pence zelensky meeting in warsaw sept. 1. Callen: and Hill said concerned sondland counterintel risk? Castor: she did...

Upshot of this story: The only September Trump-Sondland call for which there's a record is the one in which Trump, per Morrison, "said there was not a quid pro quo" but that "Zelensky should want to go to the microphone and announce... the investigations."

Impeachment “Witness” Roundup: Taylor: witnessed nothing Yovanovitch: witnessed nothing Kent: witnessed nothing Hill: witnessed nothing Sondland: witnessed nothing Volker: No quid pro quo Vindman: nope Williams: nothing Morrison: No quid pro quo Cooper: nothing Hill: nothing ?

Sondland testified Bolton asked for Giuliani's contact info on August 26. Holmes testifies today that on August 27, Bolton complained to Taylor/Morrison about "Mr. Giuliani’s influence with the President, making clear there was nothing he could do about it. "

We will now hear from Kurt Volker and Tim Morrison. Volker has testified no president should ever ask a foreign leader to interfere in a US election. Morrison will confirm Sondland told the Ukrainians they needed to do so to get vital aid. These are GOP-requested witnesses.

Impeachment inquiry hearings next week: Tuesday morning: Jennifer Williams and Alexander Vindman Tuesday afternoon: Kurt Volker and Tim Morrison Wednesday morning: Gordon Sondland Wednesday afternoon: Laura Cooper and David Hale Thursday: Fiona Hill More details to come.

Volker / Morrison seem like they’re playing babe in the woods. That they didn’t know what was going on. That it was all rudy and sondland. That they didnt understand the interest in biden/ burisma. Ukraine experts? Seems questionable.

Morrison testifies that five minutes after Pence-Zelensky meeting in Warsaw, Sondland had a conversation with Ukrainian official, Yermak. Sondland told Yermak that an announcement of investigations by the prosecutor general would be “sufficient” to release the aid.

Q to Taylor: “But if I understand this correctly, you’re telling us that Tim Morrison told you that Ambassador Sondland told him that the president told Ambassador Sondland that Zelensky would have to open an investigation into Biden? “A: “That’s correct,”

New: Gordon Sondland, US envoy to the EU, was acting at President Trump’s instruction in his dealings with Ukraine, according to a former NSC official. Tim Morrison said Sondland “believed and at least related to me that the President was giving him instruction.”

Trump appointed Taylor, dude. Trump appointed Sondland, dude. Trump appointed Hill, dude. Trump appointed Morrison, dude. Trump appointed Volker, dude. Trump appointed (but wont let talk) Perry, Bolton, Pompeo, Mulvaney. ALL are Trump political appointees. All of them.

Impeachment investigators have now heard accounts of a quid pro quo from: 1. Bill Taylor, who said aid was tied to investigations 2. Tim Morrison, who said the same 3. Gordon Sondland, who said a WH meeting was tied to investigations

Two things: 1) Morrison flatly confirmed the quid pro quo. Twice. He got it directly from Sondland. 2) Sondland haggling over *who* would make statement is consistent w/ the texts showing how much details of statement mattered to Rudy/Trump. New piece:
