NGO Open Arms rescued 263 people in the Mediterranean after their boats sank trying to reach Europe. A woman was heard screaming: "I lose my baby!" 5 adults and a 6-month-old baby died. It is the only rescue boat still operating in the Mediterranean, after Italy blocked others.

Almost 100 people drowned in the Mediterranean on Thursday trying to reach Europe. 74 died when a boat capsized near Libya. 20 other people died in another shipwreck, with just 3 traumatized women surviving, @MSF_Sea  said: "They saw loved ones disappear beneath the waves."

Banksy has funded a boat to rescue refugees attempting to reach Europe from northern Africa. It set sail on Aug. 19 and has rescued 89 people. It’s now looking for a safe port. From 2014 to Oct. 2019, over 18,000 migrants died trying to get across the Mediterranean.
