The plea in the court sought action against media reports blamed for "communal branding of Covid" linked to the Tablighi Jamaat gathering at Markaz Nizamuddin in the capital.

A Bareilly court acquitted 12 members of the Tablilghi Jamaat, including 9 Thai nationals over a lack of evidence. The case was lodged over attending a meeting at a markaz in Nizamuddin, Delhi in March last year, allegedly violating #covid  pandemic rules.

The Delhi HC directed the city police to hand over the keys of residential portion of markaz'>Nizamuddin Markaz to its occupants, after it was locked by authorities in the wake of an FIR in connection with #TablighiJamaat  congregation.

Delhi: People continue to board buses in the Nizammudin area, to be taken to different hospitals for a checkup. A religious gathering was held in Markaz, that violated lockdown conditions and several #COVID19  positive cases have been found among those who attended the gathering.

#COVID19 has spread among some of those who attended a religious prayer meeting from 13th to 15th March at Markaz in the Nizamuddin area of Delhi. Among those, who attended were some persons from Telangana. Of them, six died: Telangana Chief Minister's Office
