Representative Esmael Mangudadatu on Monday admitted that it is still difficult to move on from the pain caused by the bloody Maguindanao Massacre to the families of the victims, even after 11 years and despite the conviction of many of its suspects.
Maguindanao Representative Toto Mangudadatu says the lives of the massacre victims and their witnesses will remain under threat as long as other suspects remain free.
The Maguindanao massacre is considered the worst case of election-related violence in the Philippines. With 32 of the victims being journalists, it is also regarded as the single deadliest attack against the media. #OnThisDay
