FACT: President Trump promised Ohioans, "If I’m elected, you won’t lose one plant."  Then, GM closed the Lordstown plant and laid off thousands of workers - and Trump didn’t lift a FINGER to protect them.

Keep in mind, this is a President who spent years making his own Trump-branded products overseas. He failed to stand up for workers in Lordstown, and now he betrays the workers in Akron.

General Motors sold Lordstown. If the President cared about its former workers, he would know that. Instead of throwing a tantrum on Twitter, why don’t you just invoke the DPA?

President Trump tweeted "GREAT NEWS FOR OHIO" last year when GM agreed to sell its Lordstown plant to a company to make electric vehicles. But now his 2021 budget proposes to cut the Energy Department loan program that would make that deal possible.
