The Supreme Court has ruled on two cases related to President Trump's financial records. Each of the two opinions was 7-2, with Chief Justice John Roberts and both of Trump's appointees — Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh — joining the liberal justices.

Chief Justice John Roberts and Trump appointees Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh ruled against the president in Thursday’s Supreme Court decisions on his financial records. @PeteWilliamsNBC  has the details.

@AP  The court rejected arguments by Trump's lawyers and the Justice Department that the president is immune from investigation while he holds office. Trump's two high court appointees, Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, joined the majority.

The majority decision was written by Chief Justice John Roberts Jr., who was joined by the justices from the court’s liberal arm. Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch agreed that Trump was not absolutely immune from the subpoena.

Supreme Court says President Trump cannot keep tax, financial records from prosecutors. "The 7-2 ruling was written by Chief Justice John Roberts. Trump's two court nominees, Associate Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch, concurred."

Susan Collins' votes in favor of tax cuts in 2017 and to confirm Justice Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court helped boost her standing with Republicans and avoid a primary challenge from the right. Those votes also provided her rivals with ammunition.

“The scene was apparently witnessed by some at the club, whose list of politically connected members includes another justice, Brett M. Kavanaugh. The person who told The Post about the incident said Roberts’s head was covered in blood.”

I sat through those hearings. Brett Kavanaugh lied to the U.S. Senate and most importantly to the American people. He was put on the Court through a sham process and his place on the Court is an insult to the pursuit of truth and justice. He must be impeached.

One way for Brett Kavanaugh to clear his name is to submit to an FBI investigation. But he refuses. And he won't release the thousands of documents from his gov't service. What is he hiding? A Justice should have honesty & integrity. Kavanaugh has neither – he should withdraw.

If Brett Kavanaugh becomes a Supreme Court justice, will he help gut or overturn Roe v. Wade, which legalized abortion in America? Yes, of course he will.

Thank you to for your YES on a future great Justice of the Supreme Court, Brett Kavanaugh. Your vote means a lot to me, and to everyone who loves our Country!

Brett Kavanaugh should start suing people for libel, or the Justice Department should come to his rescue. The lies being told about him are unbelievable. False Accusations without recrimination. When does it stop? They are trying to influence his opinions. Can’t let that happen!

Just started, tonight, our 7th FBI investigation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh. He will someday be recognized as a truly great Justice of The United States Supreme Court!

The New York Times is now blaming an editor for the horrible mistake they made in trying to destroy or influence Justice Brett Kavanaugh. It wasn’t the editor, the Times knew everything. They are sick and desperate, losing in so many ways!

My full statement on my decision to support Judge Brett Kavanaugh's nomination to be an associate justice on the U.S. Supreme Court:

The Brett Kavanaugh hearings for the future Justice of the Supreme Court are truly a display of how mean, angry, and despicable the other side is. They will say anything, and are only....

Brett Kavanaugh talking about his high school in 2015: “What happens at Georgetown Prep, stays at Georgetown Prep.” I can't imagine any parent accepting this view. Is this really what America wants in its next Supreme Court Justice?
