The Cardinals' series against pirates has been postponed due to more COVID-19 cases. On Sunday, team president of baseball operations John Mozeliak confirmed another player has tested positive for the virus. That brings the Cardinals' total number of cases to 17.
#STLCards president John Mozeliak, who has had 17 members of the organization test positive for COVID-19, with no timetable on return: "Hopefully, the next time we chat we'll have maybe a little more positive news. No, I mean good news. Hopefully, a little more good news.''
A message from President of Baseball Operations, John Mozeliak: "We did have two players test positive for COVID-19, Ricardo Sánchez and Génesis Cabrera. We also have a few tests pending and will know more tomorrow."
When John Mozeliak and Billy Beane reach that point in their lives when they reflect on their good deeds, their respective decisions to work out a trade so that Stephen Piscotty could be close to his mother in her last days will stand out.
Cardinals say Stephen Piscotty has been released from hospital. GM John Mozeliak says it's possible he could play before reg. season ends.
