High school teacher Joan Williams ended her life on her terms through medical assistance in dying. "I want people in the community to know that medical assistance in dying is a wonderful thing," she said.

“I lost everything when the kids were taken,” Joan Williams said. “I lost my house, animals, everything was gone. All I knew was that I needed help.”
