Joe Biden will inherit from Trump: The worst economy since the Great Depression, the worst public health crisis in 100 years, massive wealth inequality, the existential threat of climate change, a racist immigration system. These unprecedented crises demand unprecedented action.

The 4 richest men in America have now amassed $542 billion in wealth. That's more than the bottom half of all Americans combined. If this doesn't convince you wealth inequality is out of control, I don't know what will.

The mainstream media doesn't talk about it. Congress doesn't talk about it. Trump doesn't talk about it. But three multi-billionaires now own more wealth than the bottom half of our society. That level of inequality is immoral and unsustainable.

Many who tweeted about my father today would have hated him 50 years ago. He was for the eradication of poverty and caring for poor people. No human was an alien to him because he believed this is a World House. And he asserted that inequality in healthcare is most inhumane. #MLK

Politicians and the corporate media won't discuss it much but over the past 30 years the wealth of the top 1% has gone up by $22.65 trillion, while the wealth of the bottom 50% has gone down by $776 billion. This growing wealth inequality is a moral obscenity.

Protest racism, protest xenophobia, protest homophobia, protest inequality, protest hate, protest hate, protest hate, but don't become it.

In honor of #InternationalWomensDay , I want to celebrate some of the women and girls who inspire me every day. These women resist inequality, insist on a better world, persist against all odds, and enlist others in our shared fights.

It's over. Not one word about economic inequality, climate change, Citizens United or student debt. That's why the Rs are so out of touch.

Next time someone complains about “rich athletes” protesting racial inequality, ask yourself how often we listen to the voices of the poor

Please stop calling it an anthem or flag protest. It's a police brutality or inequality protest.
