“It’s as if corporate America has impeached the president and has canceled the president. We will see what the Senate does, if they decide to impeach and convict. But companies moved more swiftly than the House and the Senate and that’s a remarkable thing.” -- @brianstelter
We are still learning just how close we came to an even worse tragedy last week. The House has done its part to hold the President accountable. Now it's the Senate's turn.
While the House voted to impeach President#Trump this week, #BettingMarkets are unconvinced that the bitterly divided Senate will vote to convict. Instead of the noise of the media, keep an eye on the prediction markets, where players have skin in the game.
"Republicans are particularly concerned about a handful of extreme-right House members who could run for Senate in swing states, potentially tarnishing the party in some of the most politically important areas of the country."
How many elected officials will be expelled from the House of Representatives and the Senate as a result of their actions related to the Capitol riot?
Thank you to Senate President Karen Fann and House Speaker Russell Bowers – and all, for what you are doing in Arizona. A fast check of signatures will easily give us the state. Votes against have been reduced to a very small number!
The House & Senate should IMMEDIATELY Approve 25 Billion Dollars for Airline Payroll Support, & 135 Billion Dollars for Paycheck Protection Program for Small Business. Both of these will be fully paid for with unused funds from the Cares Act. Have this money. I will sign now!
So after the Democrats gave me no Due Process in the House, no lawyers, no witnesses, no nothing, they now want to tell the Senate how to run their trial. Actually, they have zero proof of anything, they will never even show up. They want out. I want an immediate trial!
