My first day at @CNN  was 30 years ago today: May 8, 1990. I was CNN’s Pentagon Correspondent. A few months later, it was Operation Desert Shield, Operation Desert Storm and the first Gulf War. Just like today, it was non-stop coverage.

No one wants war. Now, please name the illegitimate pretext. Would it be Iran bombing ships in the Gulf of Oman or them shooting down an American drone?
