NEW: Dr. Grant Colfax said people ages 65 and older will be offered the COVID-19 vaccine by the San Francisco Health Department starting this week.

San Francisco Director of Health Dr. Grant Colfax on Thursday provided a grim update to the city's still spiking COVID-19 case rates as well as announcing a mandatory 10-day quarantine for anyone traveling outside of the city.

Dr. Grant Colfax says San Francisco’s ICU beds have increased from 277 to 530, a 91% increase. He says the city still expects a surge in #coronavirus  cases and that the shelter-in-place rules have bought time to prepare. Regular hospital beds have increased by 52%.
