WASHINGTON (AP) — Democrat Jon Ossoff wins election to U.S. Senate from Georgia, beating incumbent Sen. David Perdue.
“He’s touting $600 like he saved the day. $600 is a joke. Folks have months of rent past due,” Georgia Senate candidate Jon Ossoff says of Sen. Perdue. “Sen. Perdue needs to come out tonight and commit to voting on the floor of the Senate for $2,000 relief checks.”
Georgia’s Sen. David Perdue is accused of shady stock deals again just weeks ahead of his runoff race
When the COVID-19 pandemic began, Georgia Republican Sen. David Perdue sold up to $5 million worth of stock in a company where he once served on the board. Weeks later, after shares nosedived, he bought much of it back - and it’s quadrupled in value since.
