A Poll in today’s New York Post says that 77% of “U.S. adults have confidence in their government’s ability to handle the Coronavirus (Number One), compared to other health threats.” 64% for Zika, 58% for Ebola. Others way down on list. Our professionals are doing a great job!

This pandemic is far from over––and our medical professionals continue to put their lives on the line to keep our country going. @JoeBiden  and I had a chance to thank Dr. @Craig_A_Spencer  for his work during the Ebola crisis and this current pandemic.

Trump is golfing today. In 2014 on Fox and Friends he criticized Obama for golfing when there were *two cases* of Ebola in the United States saying, "it sends the wrong signal" and he should have given up golf as president "to really focus on the job."

Watching Obama today, I remembered being at the White House in fall 2014. The place was buzzing and my meeting was running late. A young staff assistant apologized and told me, "It's been crazy here. It's Ebola 24/7." That focus, in the early days, prevented a U.S. outbreak.

Another massacre, yet too many politicians throw up their hands and offer "thoughts and prayers." What if instead of mass shooting the headlines read Ebola? Food Outbreak? Airplane Malfunction? Terrorist Plot? Then would we act on what's clearly a public health crisis?
