Trump is reportedly considering firing FBI Director Christopher Wray. "If President Trump follows his typical course, he's going to look for someone who will do his will, not someone who will live up to the requirements of the job," says fmr. FBI Deputy Dir. Andrew McCabe.

"You should be confident that your vote counts. Early, unverified claims to the contrary should be viewed with a healthy dose of skepticism," FBI Dir. Wray says. "If you suspect criminal activity, we ask that you report that information to your local FBI field office."

WashPost tonight reporting of a post-election shakeup by Trump - if he wins - eyeing the ouster of AttyGen Barr and FBI Dir. Wray

My questions: - If the FBI/DNI sense a real threat, why did not specify exactly what that threat is? Which emails exactly? What do they say? - Why did FBI Dir Wray say nothing specific on the security issue? - Why no q's from reporters? (I know, it's the FBI/DNI, but still)

BREAKING: US intelligence agencies announce Russia & Iran have US voter info, say Iran using it in spoof emails to “intimidate,” try to influence Americans’ votes; @ODNIgov  Ratcliffe: “Do not be alarmed & do not spread it”; @FBI  Dir Wray: “We are not going to let our guard down.”

“There are different degrees of confidence,” @RepMark Meadows says when asked if he @realDonaldTrumpnd  have confidence @FBIin  Dir. Wray Earlier this week, Meadows questioned Wray's competence after he testified there was no evidence of voter fraud by mail or otherwise.

WATCH: “We have not seen, historically, any kind of coordinated national voter fraud effort in a major election, whether it’s by mail or otherwise,” FBI Dir. Wray tells Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Cmte.
