Giving crimea'>Putin Crimea in 2014 did not prevent him from invading Ukraine on a bigger scale in 2022. On what basis do strategists assume that giving Putin more territory today will prevent future invasions? What is the logic? Or historical precedent?

After invading Georgia and recognizing parts of that sovereign country as independent countries, Putin said he’s never touch Crimea. After annexing Crimea, Putin said he was done. So why do people assume capitulating to more annexation will produce permanent peace?

In 2014, appeasers hoped that giving Putin Crimea and Donbas would produce peace. It didn't work. 8 years later, he invaded Ukraine. Why on earth do people think today that giving Putin more of Ukraine will produce peace? Illogical.

No one thought Putin would annex Crimea. He did. People didnt believe the data when they saw that Putin had intervened in our elections in 2016. Few predicted his Syrian intervention in 2015. & just a week ago, many said that he would never launch this invasion. But he did. 1/

If Putin gave back Crimea and withdrew his forces from Donnas, then that would end the war.

Kremlin crooner Oleg Gazmanov at the pro-war rally Putin went to yesterday singing “Ukraine and Crimea, Belarus and Moldova, that is my country.” This clip was sent to me by an acquaintance in Chișinău where it’s being shared with increasing alarm.

Crimea was TAKEN by Russia during the Obama Administration. Was Obama too soft on Russia?

For eight years Russia "ran over" President Obama, got stronger and stronger, picked-off Crimea and added missiles. Weak! @foxandfriends
