UPDATE: A Confederate statue that's been in the downtown area of Dalton for more than a century will be relocated to a new home, after calls for its removal picked up during the summer of 2020. #CHAnews 

They are the Confederate Party embracing confederate style attacks on our Constitution in pursuit of Confederate goals. And they are sending a message that they will be that until there is an unacceptably high price to pay politically for such a view.

In the wake of John Lewis’ death, community groups and advocates suggested he be honored outside the historic DeKalb County courthouse on the square, in the same spot where a long-standing Confederate obelisk was removed about a month before his passing.

Germany doesn’t have Nazi monuments to “remind” citizens of their history. Instead, they have memorials for the 6 million Jews and others who were murdered. The U.S. doesn’t need statues of confederate generals to “remind” us. We need monuments for Nat Turner & Harriet Tubman.

1. Pelosi has been in Congress for decades and only today does she demand the removal of 11 confederate statues.  Why wasn’t she offended for the prior 30 years?

All these folks worried about erasing history when the Confederate statues come down will be thrilled to learn about the existence of books.
