The large colchicine RCT for covid is preprint published. It shows some consistent directional benefit for major outcomes Since this is a pill, it's safe, cheap & an early intervention (as tested here, before hospital) these findings are very encouraging
The paper on colchicine + Covid has dropped. It's a bit on the low side of what was described. P value on primary is 0.08; on secondary is 0.04. Would love to hear people's thoughts here. Or feel free to email/DM.

Colchicine for covid? A large (>4,000 patients) placebo-controlled, randomized trial of early, out-patient oral treatment suggests benefit, but limited data via press release tonight (need to see more) via @matthewherper
A gout drug shows promise for Covid-19, but skeptics worry about trusting science by press release. My take on the colchicine results: amazing if true, but we need to see a lot more of the data, and may need other studies.
In a randomized, placebo-controlled trial of 4745 patients with recent myocardial infarction, low-dose colchicine (0.5 mg once daily) prevented ischemic cardiovascular events. See the COLCOT trial. #AHA19
Patients with chronic coronary disease were randomized to daily colchicine or placebo. Incidence of the composite endpoint of cardiovascular death, spontaneous MI, ischemic stroke, or ischemia-driven coronary revascularization was significantly lower with colchicine. #ESCCongress
