Chico, California, is a town that shows us “what it looks like when the climate crisis slams headlong into a high-end real estate bubble and social infrastructure starved by decades of austerity,” writes @NaomiAKlein .

Climate in Crisis: The NOAA recently updated 30-year normal temperatures, and it shouldn't surprise many that San Jose's new normal is 1.8 degrees warmer, and San Francisco's is 1.6 degrees warmer.

‘We are living in the beginning of a mass extinction … but we can still fix this.’ — @GretaThunberg ’s powerful new video explains how we can beat the climate crisis

The climate crisis is an existential threat and a fundamental challenge of our time. RT if you agree.

America will soon have a government that treats the climate crisis as the urgent national security threat it is. I'm proud to partner with the President-elect, our allies, and the young leaders of the climate movement to take on this crisis as the President's Climate Envoy.

Joe Biden will inherit from Trump: The worst economy since the Great Depression, the worst public health crisis in 100 years, massive wealth inequality, the existential threat of climate change, a racist immigration system. These unprecedented crises demand unprecedented action.

Now the real work begins. To beat this pandemic. To rebuild our economy. To root out systemic racism in our justice system and society. To combat the climate crisis. To heal the soul of our nation. The road ahead won't be easy. But America is ready. And so are @JoeBiden  and I.

It’s quite right that students and today's younger generation should have serious concerns about the climate crisis and its effect on the environment. They are being very realistic about the future. They see we need to listen to scientists. We should encourage them.

Taking care of our planet, is a matter of looking after our own home. We can no longer exploit the earth’s resources—the trees, water, air and minerals—with no care for the coming generations. I support young people’s protests at governments’ inaction over the climate crisis.

Patrick Moore, co-founder of Greenpeace: “The whole climate crisis is not only Fake News, it’s Fake Science. There is no climate crisis, there’s weather and climate all around the world, and in fact carbon dioxide is the main building block of all life.” Wow!

The people telling you we can't solve the climate crisis helped create it. The people telling you they won't sell off our NHS can afford private healthcare. The people telling you we can’t scrap tuition fees went to university for free. They are not on your side.

There's a box ? If you put a cross in it, you'll save our NHS, properly fund our schools and tackle the climate emergency. You'll end the housing crisis and poverty. But billionaires and multi-millionaires will have to pay their fair share. Do you cross that box?
