In 1968, the police swarmed peaceful protestors with clubs and teargas. They used teargas and clubs at St. John's church so Trump could hold up a Bible. With this mob, they're playing nice.

Before President Trump could stride across Lafayette Square in Washington for a photo op at St. John’s Church, protesters had to be cleared out. What ensued was a burst of violence unlike any seen in the shadow of the White House in generations.

Numerous people arrested in D.C. for the disgraceful vandalism, in Lafayette Park, of the magnificent Statue of Andrew Jackson, in addition to the exterior defacing of St. John’s Church across the street. 10 years in prison under the Veteran’s Memorial Preservation Act. Beware!

Democrats Have Torn Down, Desecrated or Burned: - George Washington - Abraham Lincoln - Ulysses S Grant - Thomas Jefferson - St. Junipero Serra - Francis Scott Key - Winston Churchill - WWII Memorial - Lincoln Memorial - St. John’s Church - The US Capitol - 1000’s of businesses

I’m home & still processing that I saw peaceful protesters teargassed outside the White House so Pres Trump could walk to St. John's Episcopal Church. Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde, who oversees the church, said she is “outraged” to see it used in a photo-op. I’m speechless.

The president’s walk through Lafayette Park, controlled the night before by rioters, to the burned out St. John’s Church, holding his bible in his hand, was truly historic. A fabulous moment of enormous important.

The second attack on St. John’s Church is a chilling message that faith and freedom are enemies in the eyes of the anarchists on the street. Perpetrators must be prosecuted. These senseless attacks must be stopped.

Kellyanne Conway says it's wrong to call PresidentTrump's walk to St. John's Church a photo-op. That is "calling into question" Trump's faith. Note: Trump walked over from the White House to the church, held up a bible, and posed for photos. Most would call that a photo-op.

Just spoke with Rev. Gina Gerbasi of St. John's Episcopal Church in Georgetown who was at St. John's across from WH yesterday. She says she and others were driven from the area by force. “It was completely unprovoked. I didn’t hear bullhorns saying ‘the president’s coming.’”
