Our autocratic, ethno-nationalist times: Netanyahu and Trump aren't the exception but the rule among major powers today, from India’s Modi to Russia’s Putin, Brazil’s Bolsonaro to China’s Xi to Turkey’s Erdogan@djrothkopf  Opinion

Russia’s Putin and China’s Xi get tougher treatment from Biden, while many of Trump’s favorites just get ignored

In a time of scrutiny over China's role in Western technology, how does it make sense to have an ex-leader of Putin's nashi working in Silicon Valley?

It's not a phrase that used to be used here. They might say Putin or the Kremlin or Russia. But these days, EU officials in Brussels talk about "the Russian regime." Russia is joining the lexicon of China, Iran, North Korea etc in Brussels.

I don’t know who Dan Pena is, but it seems he thinks that Putin is behind bitcoin, and that it’s designed to destabilize the USD I’ve heard this theory before, but it was pinned in China. Seems highly improbable but not impossible — what do you think?

Forget Crimea! Andrea Mitchell sounds like a Blinken press secretary, proclaims Team Biden isn't 'placating and embracing Putin' like Trump did...oh and they're great on China, too!

Nancy Pelosi said she got “set up” by the owner (a very good one) of a beauty parlor. If so, how will she do in negotiations against President Xi of China, President Putin of Russia, or Kim Jong Un of North Korea. Not so well, I suspect, but far better than Joe Hiden’ would do!

Had a long and very good conversation with President Putin of Russia. As I have always said, long before the Witch Hunt started, getting along with Russia, China, and everyone is a good thing, not a bad thing....

1. Funny how Biden barely criticizes Putin, and on the China virus doesn’t criticize Xi.  Instead, he smears Trump.  The reason is the Democrats don’t really have any problems with Putin or Xi and both dictators are rooting for Biden.

Excellent meeting of the RIC (Russia, India, China) Trilateral. President Putin, President Xi Jinping and I discussed a wide range of subjects that would further cement the friendship between our nations and enhance world peace.

Met with President Putin of Russia who was at #APEC  meetings. Good discussions on Syria. Hope for his help to solve, along with China the dangerous North Korea crisis. Progress being made.

It’s easy to get 73% of the vote when you bar your "opponents" from running. After extolling life tenure for China’s Xi, will our President now congratulate Putin on his successful elimination of democratic opposition?
