A car-free Valencia Street has energized a neighborhood hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic.
Park City cancels all festivities for the 4th of July. This includes the annual parade, fireworks show, and Park City Volleyball Tournament. Park City’s Main Street will be car-free on Saturday, July 4, as an extension of car-free Sundays.
My look back at the car-free road not taken: SF planners in 1963 wanted to reserve Market Street for buses + people because “If one form of traffic movement should be deprived of some of the advantages it presently enjoys, it is the private vehicle”
