At a Canyons School District board meeting this week, Utah principals said teachers are trying to balance both in-person and remote classes, while also trying to accommodate the growing list of quarantined students. And it’s leaving many burnt out.

The Canyons School District Board decided Tuesday to move two more high schools online and to adjust the entire district's school week schedule.

The Canyons School District will once again talk about what to do with at least one, and possibly two, of its high schools after a rise in COVID-19 cases within students and staff.

500 people within the Canyons School District are currently in quarantine after being exposed to or having the novel coronavirus.

It is the highest number of cases over the past 14 days among the five school districts in Salt Lake County. The Canyons School District Board of Education is reviewing the district’s reopening plan tonight.
