City mayors in the country have called for a swift action on the killing of Calbayog City Mayor Ronaldo Aquino by policemen in Samar province.

Around 4,000 residents lined the streets of Calbayog city to pay their last respects to slain Mayor Ronaldo Aquino during his burial on Wednesday.

Senator Leila De Lima on Sunday urged the Senate to condemn the murder of Calbayog City Mayor Ronaldo Aquino, and called for an investigation into the continuing attacks and killings of local chief executives in the country.
