@DrMaryTBassett  Dave A. Chokshi announced the opening of 3 Vaccine Hubs in the Bronx, Queens and Brooklyn, plus an additional 12 Hubs opening across the five boroughs next week

The Brooklyn site is one of two mass vaccination locations that opened in New York City on Sunday. The second one is located at Bathgate Contract Postal Station in the borough of the Bronx.

The city's first 24/7 vaccine sites in Brooklyn and the Bronx are set to vaccinate up to 2,000 people a day at each location.

The two mega sites opening Sunday will be open 24 hours, one at the Brooklyn Army Terminal in Sunset Park and the other is the Bath Gate Industrial Park in the Bronx.

NYC working to open five mass vaccination sites in every borough. First three will be in Brooklyn, Bronx, and Manhattan (BK Army Terminal, Bathgate Industrial Park, La Marqueta). Two will open by end of the week. Open 24/7. Goal is 100,000 doses a week combined at these sites.

Tomorrow we will tour the 4 sites that NY has identified for additional temporary hospitals that will add much needed capacity. The sites are the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal, the Aqueduct Racetrack facility in Queens, CUNY Staten Island, and the NY Expo Center in the Bronx.

With #COVID19  spreading quickly, our number one priority is expanding hospital capacity. All NY hospitals are increasing capacity by 50%, some by 100%. We have also identified 4 new temp hospital sites. One in the Bronx, one in Queens, one in Brooklyn & one in Staten Island.
