Florida and the rest of the coastal U.S. have had a bubble of protection from hurricanes so far this year, but it’s about to burst as the Atlantic heads into what’s forecast to be a record-breaking season. Story:
While I'm sad we can't see our family in PEI this summer, I'm happy our first renters from the Atlantic bubble are loving our newly renovated Ch'town historic (smart) home♥️. More guests booked in this weekend, so hoping they also have a 5⭐️ experience.
Atlantic bubble is 'all take, no give,' says Toronto lawyer
Two weeks into the COVID-19 Atlantic Bubble. This weekend I travelled again. - into PEI: online digital declaration & contact tracing form; in-person ID check - into NB: hard-copy contact tracing form (online was available); in-person ID check - into NS: waved through. Video:
Atlantic Bubble recap: (Remember, I’m in a marked CBC vehicle.) - NS to NB: waved through - NB to PEI: filled out online form, confirmation number tracked - PEI to NB: paper questionnaire - NB to NS: waved through (other drivers had ID’s visually checked, no info recorded)
I'm also starting to feel a bit queasy about the global outlook. There's no one big thing like the North Atlantic housing bubble, but there's a drip of smaller things -- trouble in emerging markets, a possible debt crisis in fracking, maybe others. 2/
