“All customers eligible under the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs as per the Air Bubble scheme will be able to travel on-board Virgin Atlantic’s direct services to London Heathrow and the U.S.,” the airline said.

A Halifax-based research centre reported 28 per cent of New Brunswickers have travelled within the Atlantic bubble, outside of their home province.

Florida and the rest of the coastal U.S. have had a bubble of protection from hurricanes so far this year, but it’s about to burst as the Atlantic heads into what’s forecast to be a record-breaking season. Story:

Two weeks into the COVID-19 Atlantic Bubble. This weekend I travelled again. - into PEI: online digital declaration & contact tracing form; in-person ID check - into NB: hard-copy contact tracing form (online was available); in-person ID check - into NS: waved through. Video:

NS Premier McNeil: Starting today, people entering Nova Scotia (from outside the Atlantic Bubble) will fill out a form with their contact info. Staff will call them daily to ensure they're self-isolating. After 3 missed calls, provincial staff will call the police.

Dr. Strang: "We're urgently working on implementing a tracking system." Reminder: Day 1 of the Atlantic Bubble, PEI and New Brunswick had forms ready to track people entering their provinces. Nova Scotia did not.

I'm also starting to feel a bit queasy about the global outlook. There's no one big thing like the North Atlantic housing bubble, but there's a drip of smaller things -- trouble in emerging markets, a possible debt crisis in fracking, maybe others. 2/
