Bharti Airtel has approached the Supreme Court, pointing out “arithmetical errors” made by the Department of Telecommunications in calculating the company’s adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues, and Vodafone Idea may soon follow suit.

Vodafone Idea has moved the Supreme Court to seek a modification on orders which had held that Rs 58,400cr claimed by the telecom department is the final adjusted gross revenue (AGR) due amount, pointing out arithmetical errors in the govt’s calculations.

$ETSY reported adjusted earnings of 70 cents per share on revenue of $451.5 million. Wall Street expected Etsy to report earnings of 57 cents on revenue of $412.7 million. Revenue soared 128% from the year-ago quarter. Gross merchandise sales jumped 119% to $2.6 billion.

#SupremeCourt gives telecom companies 10 years to clear AGR (adjusted gross revenue) dues of around Rs 1.43 lakh crore to Centre. Apex court set deadline of March 31, 2031 for companies to pay the amount in annual instalments.

Vodafone-Idea yesterday paid a further sum of Rs 1000 crore to the Department of Telecommunications towards the adjusted gross revenue AGR dues. It had earlier deposited Rs 6,854 cr in 3 tranches. The Company has thus paid an aggregate amount of Rs 7,854 cr towards the AGR dues.
