A Heat Advisory has been issued for Tues and Weds from 11 AM to 7 PM for the North Bay Mnts/Valleys, East Bay Valleys, Santa Clara Valley, SF City, SF Bay Shoreline, Santa Cruz Mtns, North/South Monterey Bay and Big Sur Coast, North/South Salinas Valley, and Carmel Valley#CAwx 

T-storms today should be focused across 2 areas, the White Mtns due to elevated terrain & Santa Cruz cnty westward due to a passing upper level feature. This is 1 model representation giving the basic idea. Southern storms will be capable of 40+ mph winds/brief heavy rain. #azwx 

1214 PM: Radar shows scattered showers extending from SE Graham Co. into Cochise and Santa Cruz Co. with another area of light showers across SE Pinal into Pima Co. These are all moving NE at around 20 MPH. Additional showers/T'storms psbl for White Mtns this aftn as well. #azwx 

Thurs eve GOES-West IR satellite imagery shows a system approaching northern California. This system will spread rain from northwest to southeast across our area on Friday and Friday night. Expect 0.25-0.75" of rain most areas with 1-1.5" in N Bay Mtns and Santa Cruz Mtns. #CAwx 

An atmospheric river will impact the region today through Wednesday morning. Expect periods of moderate to heavy rainfall, widespread flooding from the Santa Cruz mtns into the North Bay, and gusty winds. #cawx
