Nearly thirty years ago, his first story in Moscow was about Russians protesting for democracy. Now the amazing @willenglund returns and finds people back in the streets, still seeking freedom.
I say this to the President, and his defenders in Congress: You may think it’s okay how Trump and his associates interacted with Russians during the campaign. I don’t. I think it’s immoral. I think it’s unethical. I think it’s unpatriotic. And yes, I think it’s corrupt.
Here’s what Mueller said: ➡️ Russia interfered in our election to help Trump. ➡️ Russians made numerous contacts with the campaign. ➡️ Campaign welcomed their help. ➡️ No one reported these contacts or interference to FBI. ➡️ They lied to cover it up.
NEW: Former president Jimmy Carter says a full investigation “would show that Trump didn’t actually win the election in 2016….He was put into office because the Russians interfered.” Does that mean he’s an illegitimate president? “Based on what I said, which I can’t retract.”
