To my Republican colleagues: How long will you remain silent as President Trump lays ruin to our alliances and tears apart the very fabric of our democracy? Patriots do not stand mute when our country is in jeopardy, no matter what party occupies the White House.

Obviously if @BarackObama  ever used the word “bullshit” in speeches like Trump does, every Republican Senator & House member would’ve immediately issued statements of condemnation, then passed resolutions of condemnation of the president’s language in both chambers.

President Trump should understand he does not have the votes for the wall in the House or Senate. We offered two reasonable options to avoid a shutdown. We will not let a temper tantrum push us in the direction of doing something even our Republican colleagues know is wrong.

Donald Trump will receive a tax break of up to $11 million a year as a result of the Republican tax plan he signed into law. Meanwhile, President Trump’s budget would eliminate after school programs for more than 1 million children.

With 90% approval from Republicans, I will say it again: Donald Trump embodies what Republicans want in a president and political figure. He *is* the Republican party. He *is* conservatism.
