On Sept. 5th, bipartisan Sens. Johnson and Murphy met with President Zelensky and discussed the delay in aid. If ever there was a time for Zelensky to mention any supposed pressure or pushing, that was the time. But it didn’t happen. Because there was no pressure.

America has had its share of crooks (Warren G. Harding, Richard Nixon), bigots (Andrew Jackson, James Buchanan), and incompetents (Andrew Johnson, George W. Bush). But never before Donald Trump have we had a president who combined all these nefarious qualities.

Since taking over as president of the Lakers, Magic Johnson never fully committed to the job. Often he was traveling and away from the team. His office hours were limited. He didn't do a lot of scouting. Running an NBA team takes a tremendous commitment of time and energy.
