David Barnett, CEO and founder of PopSockets, is up next to talk about two problems with Amazon: counterfeiting and "bullying" by the platform. "We never felt like we had a genuine partnership with Amazon."
@Patrick_Spence At one point PopSockets was telling Amazon about 1000 fake products a day, with no recourse. At the same time, Amazon was lowering the prices it was charging consumers, and then demanding payment from PopSockets for the lost margin, even though the contract had a set price in it.
PopSockets’ CEO says Amazon retaliated against his company after they terminated their business relationship, accusing Amazon of “stonewalling” when it owed PopSockets “hundreds of thousands of dollars … for incorrect chargebacks … Communication just stopped.” #CongressatCULaw
